Business Planning 2022

The bustling world of technology shifts to another year as 2021 closes with a full plate of opportunities. Piles of year worth of projects had been rolled out. To keep with the pacing, Macrologic conducts its yearly business planning, gathering each business unit (BU) heads to discuss their department’s 2021 business goal review, the shifting to 2022 business goals, objectives of the team, strategies to compose, analysis of challenges currently faced, and assistance that would be needed from the management. The planning was a two-day event, with day one being a different take on its usual formal corporate method. Resorting to a workshop instead, different activities were laid out, all intended to surprise the BU heads. It was a humbling new take at the company and a collaborative one as each were able to get a glimpse of how departments take on pressures and difficulties, how they honor the company, its vision and mission, and future growth. The second day was conducted more formally, each BU head taking on the opportunity to present a couple of plans FY22, kickstarting with the management positioning each with the common goal of growing the MIaaS collaboration with partners, development of properties that will house variety of opportunities (commercialization and expansion of data center) and setting of timelines for completion of compliances with the main objective of being ISO certified by the end of the year. Macrologic aims to build something much bigger than it is today and this has already been set in the year 2020 as a 10-year journey for the company. The management had examined possibilities with the number of resources and assets Macrologic continuously convene each year to keep the ball rolling with its 10-year journey which consists of: Establishment of offices in the key cities (Davao, Bicol, CDO, Subic) by the end of Y2025, transfer of Mandaluyong office in Makati City with the company owned office space; Macrologic Business Centre by Y2024 to Y2025, development of Amadeo Property to establish commercial areas and technology hub, and most of all, to imprint MIaaS Cloud Services in the international market. With this, aligned were the plans for 2022 such as to achieve the annual sales target, maintain and grow partnership levels, branch openings, the revamping and rebranding of the company, and integration of system to push automation within its departmental processes. These plans were followed through by last year’s goals and achievements, imprinting the changes early in its 10-year journey. Different measures were taken into consideration with each points mentioned, such as the challenges of each BU to align their objectives to meet the targets of the company for as the business grows, challenges in management can be crucial and with this expansion, the demand for manpower and proper direction is essential. All in all, with the conclusion of having each adversity addressed, the planning was driven with one common intent of navigating the steep yet gratifying expedition of the company.

2021’s First Macrologic Sales University: Infor Sales Enablement

On the 4th of November 2021, another leap had been taken as part of the Enterprise Technology Solutions Team’s endeavor for the incoming years in Macrologic. The sales force of the company had gathered to be introduced to another aspect of technology. With the vigorous pace of software companies today, conveying it as part of the company’s product and services had been lucrative. The sales force of Macrologic had always focused on hardware, being the main foundation of its growth and income-generation but the company needed to get the ball rolling in terms of change as it strives to bring in new approaches and strategies to further cultivate its development. Together with Infor’s support, Macrologic was able to kick-start their first Macrologic Sales University which mainly focuses on positioning the sellers to solution-selling. Conducted at the rooftop floor of its main office, the first Infor Sales Enablement was held. With the ETS team as representatives to be the events’ teacher of the day, the sellers were once again brought back to the four walls they had spent years in learning. With most of the crowd as hardcore hardware agents, software terminologies had usually been an alien term up until the event. This was addressed as the event went on, with the representatives of ETS starting off with the simple run-through of the vocabulary up to the different ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning) which introduces the following: Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (CSI) or SyteLine and Warehouse Management System and its current state, solution overview, and possibilities of its integration. As the traditional class method goes, interactive activities between the ETS and the sales force were highly encouraged as every topic covered ended with question-and-answer portions for each to form a bridge of knowledge. Ending with the tip of the hat, lead-generation was the first and foremost prioritized activity expected from each attendee after the event as they were given their own account opportunity plans to formally select their candidates that will best suit Infor’s solutions. A fruit-reaping ideology, indeed.

A start of a Decade

In an annual business planning conducted by Macrologic Diversified Technologies Inc. held in The Bayleaf Cavite, last January 31 to February1, 2020, the top management lays out a decade plan comprising various strategies and objectives to start in the year 2020 until the end of 2029. Attended by the Business Unit and Department Heads from the five branches, the 2-day yearly strategic planning sets the first ever long term business goal of the company. Macrologic, with its incorporation in May 2012, is considered one of the fastest growing IT players in the IT industry with offices located in Cavite, Manila, Pampanga, Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo. Its aggressive business approach banks on technical expertise and technology infrastructure that the company continues to invest on. In the first quarter of 2018, it has piloted the development of its own Data Center Facility for cloud services, pioneering the country for the said IT business model, known today as MIaaS Cloud. Among the objectives that the company wishes to achieve for the current year is the implementation of the web based HRIS system and the new company website with more intuitive and interactive design. Likewise, it targets to further expand market presence regionally by establishing offices in Davao, Bicol, CDO and Subic until 2025. The Mandaluyong branch is also set to move to the City of Makati by then where the company has acquired its owned office area; the future Macrologic Business Centre as it expects to engage more with enterprise, multi-national and international level clients given the diversified strategies in place. Highlighted in the event was the development of its land property in Amadeo, Cavite with the early plan to offer for lease the commercialized façade area and further establish various business facilities such as BPO offices and another Data Center for MIaaS Cloud. Macrologic envisions the site as future Macrologic Technology Center, the centerpiece of the launched decade business goal. “The year 2020 is the ideal start for Macrologic 10-year journey, covering the new decade of both challenges and opportunities but can simply address by hard work and collaboration. I’m quite optimistic that with the help of our dedicated leaders and talented employees, we can finish the race track successfully. We have seeds already planted, we just need them grow to trees and bear fruits. This is now a legacy I speak of being the first generation of this organization. Everyone sits here is part of the journey so be part also of the legacy”, said by its CEO & President Armando R. Menta. He is also the founder of Macrologic Diversified Technologies Inc.

Macrologic, In Making The Difference

Information Technology has been in the rise for more than two decades (as I consider the start of my IT career in 1997) but its pinnacle is far from what the industry has achieved so far today. Looking back at its radical evolution, one may have difficulty catching up if you’re not part of such historic rise unless you network with IT practitioners that have been successfully cemented their space in the industry as an individual or as an organization in general. Macrologic strategy comes along with the IT evolution though its focus of expertise has not changed but rather just continue to evolve. With the server technology to start its endeavor, the company has dynamically adapted every era of innovation helping customers effectively deploy and maximize the use of their IT assets to achieve cost efficiency and earlier return of investment. From the stand-alone Server Client computing, to the hype of Blade Server and SAN Storage consolidation, and from the basic Server Virtualization to the so called Software Defined Data Center, Macrologic’s adaptive business measures and initiatives are clearly the foundation for its continuous success which is widely recognized in the market nowadays. While the thing called “cloud” is fast defining the landscape of the IT industry, Macrologic quickly responds by launching MIaaS Data Center in the last quarter of the Y2019. MIaaS or Macrologic Infrastructure as a Service is the very own cloud services offering of Macrologic with a long term plan of expansion ahead. MIaaS, located in Macrologic Corporate Centre in the City of Bacoor, Cavite is built to comply with the Data Center Standards and guidelines provided by EPI, a Singapore based company doing Data Center audit and certification. With MIaaS in place, local companies now have the option to easily adapt with the cloud computing, breaking the barriers of internet connectivity issues when they subscribe to cloud services from providers abroad. MIaaS is powered by MamaaS (Macrologic Management as a Service) that’s a combination of software tool suite and professional services from Macrologic pool of Certified Engineers for the various brands and technologies for network, security, virtualization, servers and storage. MIaaS portfolio is composed of Virtual and Storage Compute, Software as a Service, Back-up as a Service, Disaster Recovery as a Service and co-location services. It’s architected to easily adapt with the customer business environment and any imposed network access and security policy. A facility designed to address high availability from power back-up, precision air-con, high speed network and internet connectivity. “Our dream to lead the IT industry by putting the technology itself in the forefront of our business is now becoming a reality. Year on year, significant changes are happening in Macrologic nothing but to improve the products and services we offer to our valued customers. While the competing technology brands are somewhat the same in features and solutions, the way we offer it is different. MIaaS and MamaaS is just another leap. It’s not the first in the industry but how we architect it, the way we deliver and support the cloud services is totally a new customer experience. Our vision simply sees the future, our dreams live with it and our ideas would always become a reality.” From the desk of, ARMANDO R. MENTA CEO & President
