First, the Business Unit Heads and Sales Team gathered for an informal lunch outing at Tong Yang Plus, SM Mall of Asia. Meanwhile, our non-sales staff enjoyed a fun-filled evening of dinner and holiday shopping at SM Bacoor, Cavite. This event was designed to give our hard-working employees a chance to unwind and indulge in pre-holiday cheer. The evening kicked off with a shopping adventure, exploring stores and picking out gifts for loved ones at the SM Store. Following the shopping, a sumptuous dinner was served at Max’s Restaurant where laughter and lively discussions filled the air. Macrologic 2023 Trick or Treat: A Spooktacular Celebration

Eerie whispers and haunting delights filled the air as Macrologic hosted its highly anticipated 2023 Halloween Trick or Treat event. The building transformed into a scene straight out of a spooky storybook, with children eagerly roaming the halls, their bags ready to be filled with an assortment of sweets and treats prepared by our enthusiastic employees. This marked the second year of our Halloween celebration, and it was nothing short of magical.

The day was packed with a variety of fun-filled activities. Excited giggles and the sound of running feet echoed throughout as games were held, each one more thrilling than the last. The MIaaS Roadshow & Partnership – a step closer to the Cloud!

Macrologic takes over Cebu!

Last November 24, 2022, Macrologic’s Marketing team flew to the city of Cebu to conduct three (3) events in line with the plans for the Y2023. First was the MIaaS Roadshow Event where end-users were invited to for the service’s introduction and to address any concerns or inquiries they may have on Cloud. This event was the first one of the series of end-user gatherings the company plans to set in motion for the Y2023. Since it has launched, there have been predicaments that affected its push in the marketplace, such as internal transitions, the pandemic situation, and the volume of projects to accomplish, but now that the organization is driving towards a more assertive strategy, the roadshow finally happened. Conducted at Quest Hotel, the event took on the afternoon of the team’s arrival. Sir Nicky Francisco, General Manager for Sales & Marketing opened the event to welcome the attendees. Sir Lex Miranda, Manager for the Cebu Branch, followed with the presentation of the company profile, tackling the expansion, milestones, products & services, and overview of customers we’ve served over the years. Sir Jason Estrada, the Solutions Architect for MIaaS, closed the presentation by discussing the concerns on anything MIaaS-related. A session for Q&A was opened to address inquiries of the end-users as noted by the Marketing Team. Another event laid out for Cebu was the MIaaS partnership program. In an industry, there are other resellers from Macrologic, and though it could be seen as a competition, there is always the possibility of an opportunity. This opportunity was something caught upon planning of the execution. As a way to generate more leads and strengthen MIaaS’ foothold in the market, this program was created, encouraging potential third-party partners to include MIaaS to their portfolio. In this two-day trip, Macrologic also managed to add one more event to the itinerary which was the new office’s blessing. Last September, the Cebu team moved to its new place located at Meridian, a newly-built structure in the city. The two other events embarked on the second day. Starting with the new office’s blessing, inviting a few distributors to share the occasion with, followed by the MIaaS Partnership Event at night, taking on a new kind of business venture that may benefit other IT resellers. Overall, the events turned out to be a successful first step to the future projects lined up for the Y2023.

The First MDTI Halloween Treat

In an expanding business entity, not only does an organization grow but so does the amount of responsibility. The past few months have been eventful for the people of Macrologic with its initiatives continuing to enlarge and develop. With its new set of people and faces, refreshing ideas come to mind. Last October, the company, as a treat for the hard work of its employees, launched its very first Halloween celebration! There were 2 events initiated by the Marketing Team: One, a treat for the people, and two, a treat for their children. In the morning of the 28th of October, it’s first trick or treat had taken place. Employees with their respective children gathered at Macrologic’s main branch and visited each department as they frolicked around in their spookiest costumes. Reaching the 4th floor where the amusement awaited, food carts, face paints, and other games, were all set, together with clowns and magicians to lead the show. Smiling faces and laughter of little children filled the whole place. As we wrapped for the first treat of the day, another was set for the later part. This time, it would be a treat for the fellow employees. As evening came for the most exciting part of this event, employees once again gathered in their own spooky costumes. The 4th floor where the program proper was for the morning session transformed to a horror house. The program ramped up with each showing off their costumes as three lucky winners brought home amazing prizes. It truly was a memorable event to remember as the night ended with great success for the whole company, and it wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the organization’s contribution. Other festivities like this will surely follow as we keep moving forward.

Business Planning 2022

The bustling world of technology shifts to another year as 2021 closes with a full plate of opportunities. Piles of year worth of projects had been rolled out. To keep with the pacing, Macrologic conducts its yearly business planning, gathering each business unit (BU) heads to discuss their department’s 2021 business goal review, the shifting to 2022 business goals, objectives of the team, strategies to compose, analysis of challenges currently faced, and assistance that would be needed from the management. The planning was a two-day event, with day one being a different take on its usual formal corporate method. Resorting to a workshop instead, different activities were laid out, all intended to surprise the BU heads. It was a humbling new take at the company and a collaborative one as each were able to get a glimpse of how departments take on pressures and difficulties, how they honor the company, its vision and mission, and future growth. The second day was conducted more formally, each BU head taking on the opportunity to present a couple of plans FY22, kickstarting with the management positioning each with the common goal of growing the MIaaS collaboration with partners, development of properties that will house variety of opportunities (commercialization and expansion of data center) and setting of timelines for completion of compliances with the main objective of being ISO certified by the end of the year. Macrologic aims to build something much bigger than it is today and this has already been set in the year 2020 as a 10-year journey for the company. The management had examined possibilities with the number of resources and assets Macrologic continuously convene each year to keep the ball rolling with its 10-year journey which consists of: Establishment of offices in the key cities (Davao, Bicol, CDO, Subic) by the end of Y2025, transfer of Mandaluyong office in Makati City with the company owned office space; Macrologic Business Centre by Y2024 to Y2025, development of Amadeo Property to establish commercial areas and technology hub, and most of all, to imprint MIaaS Cloud Services in the international market. With this, aligned were the plans for 2022 such as to achieve the annual sales target, maintain and grow partnership levels, branch openings, the revamping and rebranding of the company, and integration of system to push automation within its departmental processes. These plans were followed through by last year’s goals and achievements, imprinting the changes early in its 10-year journey. Different measures were taken into consideration with each points mentioned, such as the challenges of each BU to align their objectives to meet the targets of the company for as the business grows, challenges in management can be crucial and with this expansion, the demand for manpower and proper direction is essential. All in all, with the conclusion of having each adversity addressed, the planning was driven with one common intent of navigating the steep yet gratifying expedition of the company.

2021’s First Macrologic Sales University: Infor Sales Enablement

On the 4th of November 2021, another leap had been taken as part of the Enterprise Technology Solutions Team’s endeavor for the incoming years in Macrologic. The sales force of the company had gathered to be introduced to another aspect of technology. With the vigorous pace of software companies today, conveying it as part of the company’s product and services had been lucrative. The sales force of Macrologic had always focused on hardware, being the main foundation of its growth and income-generation but the company needed to get the ball rolling in terms of change as it strives to bring in new approaches and strategies to further cultivate its development. Together with Infor’s support, Macrologic was able to kick-start their first Macrologic Sales University which mainly focuses on positioning the sellers to solution-selling. Conducted at the rooftop floor of its main office, the first Infor Sales Enablement was held. With the ETS team as representatives to be the events’ teacher of the day, the sellers were once again brought back to the four walls they had spent years in learning. With most of the crowd as hardcore hardware agents, software terminologies had usually been an alien term up until the event. This was addressed as the event went on, with the representatives of ETS starting off with the simple run-through of the vocabulary up to the different ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning) which introduces the following: Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (CSI) or SyteLine and Warehouse Management System and its current state, solution overview, and possibilities of its integration. As the traditional class method goes, interactive activities between the ETS and the sales force were highly encouraged as every topic covered ended with question-and-answer portions for each to form a bridge of knowledge. Ending with the tip of the hat, lead-generation was the first and foremost prioritized activity expected from each attendee after the event as they were given their own account opportunity plans to formally select their candidates that will best suit Infor’s solutions. A fruit-reaping ideology, indeed.
